Need to Talk Therapy
About Me
I am a qualified integrative therapist and have practised at colleges, universities and in the voluntary sector. As well as my private practice I currently provide therapy to clients as part of SHARE Psychotherapy, St Lukes Hospice and Cavendish Cancer Care.
For me, therapy is fundamentally about helping people. Recent studies show that 1 in 4 people are likely to experience a mental health problem in England each year. It is an unseen pandemic that affects every level of society. No-one is immune, none of us are free of negative emotions and even the ‘strongest’ amongst us will at times struggle to cope.
When I trained as a therapist I wanted to learn how to relate to my clients, to treat them as real people and not simply a collection of symptoms. We are all unique individuals and I believe treatment needs to reflect this. I want to get to know you, to understand what has brought you to this point and help you find a way through.
Mental health is not as simple as taking a magic pill, living a ‘better’ lifestyle or just talking out your problems. Often it involves all of this and more. My role as a therapist is to support, reassure and perhaps guide you as you move towards your own mental health recovery.
I am currently offering face-to-face and remote (via zoom) therapy from Manchester.
I am a full individual member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and have experience working with people of different ages and backgrounds.
I offer long and short term therapy for individual adults (18+.)
